Tub-to-Shower Conversion for Safer, Easier Living in North Tonawanda, NY

This project was all about improving safety, accessibility, and independence for the homeowner. After experiencing a stroke, our client could no longer safely step in and out of a traditional bathtub. We completed a full bathroom remodel, starting with the removal of the existing tub and reconfiguring the layout to better meet their needs. The new design features a spacious walk-in shower with a built-in seat, allowing for a safer and more comfortable bathing experience.

To further enhance accessibility, we relocated the shower to a different wall and repositioned the toilet to create enough space for properly placed grab bars on both sides. This thoughtful layout change ensures the client has the support they need while maintaining ease of movement throughout the space. The finished result combines functionality with a clean, modern design—proving that an accessible bathroom can still be both beautiful and highly practical.
